This is a really interesting read on Vinepair.com about Bardstown, KY and how the Bourbon boom has affected the town.
My wife and I recently spent a weekend there with friends. She used to work in the industry for Maker’s Mark and hadn’t been back down to the area in years. I had seen bits and pieces of it over the years, but she was blown away by the transformation.
It’s exciting to see the growth and transformation. It’s also interesting to read about some of their challenges and struggles especially when it comes to infrastructure. That water has to come from somewhere after all.
