This role is a paid internship that is part of Heaven Hill’s Summer Internship Program (June-August). The role is an office / hybrid position, with the ideal candidate located in the Greater Louisville area.

What The Role Is

We are looking for a Creative Services Intern to join our in-house Creative Services team within the Heaven Hill Brands Marketing department. Our team provides creative development and production of graphic design, photography and videos to support our brands’ marketing efforts. As a summer intern, you will support our Creative Services Project Coordinator with project management, digital asset organization, and graphic design assignments ranging from e-commerce digital ads to point-of-sale artwork resizes and revisions. You will gain exposure to a variety of brands within our portfolio of spirits and will have the opportunity to learn from experienced designers.

This role will work between 10-20 hours a week, varying week to week depending on workload and planned intern activities.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

  • Resizing artwork and revising existing layouts.
  • Support Project Coordinator with keeping status reports updated and assigning tasks to creative team members.
  • Organizing files in our Digital Asset Management library.
  • Clipping out photos in Photoshop, e.g., bottle shots.
  • Potential for basic video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, which can be learned through on-the-job training.

Who You Are…

  • Currently a junior/senior, pursuing a Graphic Design or related degree
  • Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, MacOSX and Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to establish visual hierarchy, layout, composition, typography, and color effectively
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply learning to tasks
  • Strong organizational skills and resourcefulness
  • High attention to detail to ensure all standards and specifications are consistently met
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage details of multiple projects at once
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency for completion of tasks and projects
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment

Physical Requirements

While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
